Hubble

So I was lying in bed and (for reasons unknown) thinking of the images from the Hubble telescope, like this one: How do they do that? So I googled and discovered that the image begins life as a few greyscale images. The slick colours are added on Planet Earth. Now ain't that neat? And here ... the Eye of God:
