I read this: Reid, D-Nev., thought Obama was a good candidate because he was a "light-skinned" African-American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." Had Obama been really black with that stereotypical negro accent, would he have been a good candidate? Of course not. How many "whites" would vote for him? So Reid seems right on the mark, eh? So why is he being lampooned? It ain't politically correct to mention skin colour, race, religion ... and especially that nasty word "negro", eh? Though "negro" means "black" in Spanish and ancient Italian, it is now considered a racial slur associated with slavery and segregation. Forget the fact that the "three great races" are Caucasoid, Mongoloid and Negroid. But there's a Negro League in baseball, a United Negro College Fund, a Texas Council of Negro Organizations, a National Council of Negro Women, etc. etc. Ain't that curious? I reckon I don't understand Homo sapiens. Especially those in government. Must be gettin' old ... |

Probably because Canadian politicians don't waste their time with partisan infantile bickering and pleasing their Corporate Masters and instead actually help their common citizens.
Alas, we got us some small-minded politicians ... but watching Cdn news ain't so irritating as watching U.S. news.
