Okay, so I've been keeping an eye on my coal stocks (up 28% in three days) and took my eye off lithium (up 29% in two days). I must be gettin' old. Western Lithium is on the move and I'm asleep at the wheel. Now SQM (a Chilean mining company) is the world's largest lithium supplier. Further, doesn't the Chilean stock market open before the local market? So I should be able to check SQM early and decide whether to buy WLC. So I whip out a spreadsheet and find there's little correlation (19%) between the movements of SQM and my lithium stock. Life ain't fair! |
