Yesterday, one of my favourite stocks was up BIG: A 15% gain (from the previous closing price). So ... will that happen again? Is that an unusual occurrence for this stock? So I whip out a spreadsheet and find that it's happened before. In fact, a 15% daily gain was achieved 27 times in the past five years! MSFT and XOM did it once. For example, on Feb 15, 2008. Then it continued to increase, like so: Doesn't history repeat itself? But it also happened on Sept18, 2007 ... and then it dropped: Today, what will it do?
